With a little over a week until my due date, I had to post one of my favortie poems from a mother to her almost born baby...

"These Last Few Hours"

It's important to me that I spend a part of the next few hours here, along with you in the darkness.

You and I will never be this close again, by morning, you will be a tiny person all your own.

No longer the kicking, demanding, bulge in my body, that I have grown to love so well.

I pray God will safely guide you on your journey tonight, and I ask Him for the strength to help you all I can.

Again, you signal, your impatience to be free.
Time to wake your daddy.

My "baby sprinkle" last night...

My sister, my mom, and my best friend Jannette, threw a shower or what I like to call a "sprinkle" for me last night. We had had dinner, laughed, cried, and ate the most yummy cupcakes!! It was really fun, but most of all, I was so happy my closest friends and family were there to help celebrate this new little girl coming to our family VERY soon!!

Here's the after...

Can I say that I am amazed that her hair turned out this cute! I thought we were going to have to cut all of her hair off and start over cut or buzz her head. Looking at her now, I actually think her hair looks adorable, but it will be awhile before I can pull it back in a ponytail. As long as I slick her "mini-bangs" to the side, she looks presentable. So now I can say I think it's funny!

Livy wanted a mullet, isn't she a beauty????

Can I say that after 3 girls, that my worst nightmare came true a few weeks ago. She decided to give herself a haircut, and didn't she do a lovely job? I was busy making lunch downstairs and Livy came into the kitchen happy as can be. I looked at her and didn't know whether to laugh or cry. She just had to have her tooth pulled from her accident this summer, so her toothlessness and new haircut made her look like she had just stepped out of white trashville. Needless to say, we promptly got dressed and took her to have her hair fixed. I guess this is one of those childhood memories I will look back a few years from now and laugh...
